Engineering Physics – Course Summary
This course provides a foundational understanding of physics concepts essential for engineering applications. Students will learn to analyze crystal structures by applying the characteristics of unit cells (CO1) and develop skills to apply principles of centre of mass and elasticity in solving engineering problems (CO2). The course covers thermodynamic parameters and fundamental laws, enabling students to apply them to various physical processes (CO3). Learners will explore the working principles and applications of lasers and optical fibers in modern technology (CO4) and will be introduced to quantum physics concepts, gaining insight into the quantization of energy and its implications in physical systems (CO5). Through this integrated approach, the course builds the analytical and application-oriented skills required for engineering practice.
