This course introduces the fundamental concepts and applications of Materials Science with emphasis on functional materials and devices. It covers conducting materials, semiconducting materials, magnetic and dielectric materials, optical materials and devices, and nanomaterials and nanodevices. The course explains the physical principles governing material behavior. Through this course, students gain the knowledge required to understand material selection and performance in electronic, optical, and nano-scale devices
